In an age where computers perform more and more work across the economy, there's still one area where, apparently, humans still rule: accountreconciliation. According to an article in Accountingweb, 59 percent of U.S. companies and 66 percent of Canadian firms still reconcile their general ledger accounts manually, versus those who use software; of those who use software, 16 percent rely on an internally developed system in both the U.S.
