The U.S. District Court in Washington on Wednesday criticised the Federal Reserve for, in its view, caving to lobbying from the banking industry as it set the rules capping debit card interchange fees, and ordered the central bank to come up with new regulations that more closely align with the intention of the original legislation, according to the Washington Post.
